Or purple, or yellow, or whatever flavor you want. I've been looking at gray, blah, grey, stone, etc. and I just wasn't feeling it. We have no seating for the living room at the new house, so I decided to shop online for a couple of recliners. Most of what I've found locally is not really what I wanted.

Then I found these at Overstock.

I hemmed and hawed for half a day before I pulled the trigger. I'd been shopping for weeks for a set of recliners that fit with the aesthetic I want and coordinated with my color scheme. I also got special financing, which helps my budget tremendously.

The new curtains went up last night and they look even better than I'd hoped. (*curtain rods here) I still need blinds and sheers, but this will suffice for a while. I admit I haven't shopped for blinds in ten years, but when the hell did bamboo blinds get so expensive? Is it because bamboo is more popular as a building and decorating material now than it was a decade ago, or have things really gone up that much. I have two 48" bamboo blinds in my current living room that probably didn't cost me as much together as ONE 32" blind will for half of this window. There are three sets of these double windows in the house that need blinds. Six blinds will cost me about $200 for the cheapest ones I've been able to find so far. If my local Dirt Cheap happens to get what I want, that's where I'll be buying them.

I really think the recliners are going to look fantastic in the living room. I hope so, because they will be our only seating for a while. I've got to find a local furniture store that I can visit and test out sofas so I don't wind up with an uncomfortable behemoth.

If I hadn't bought the orange recliners I would have regretted it. I have always regretted not buying the thing I really wanted. Had I gone with charcoal, stone, fog, or some other variant of gray I would have kicked myself in the ass for a while for not being brave and getting what I really wanted.

Although I will probably go with a darker sofa, I'm really glad I went with orange for the chairs.

Always buy the orange chair.
